Yet there's something lovable, dumb and weirdly moreish about Frank West's return. Others will remember that Dead Rising's not the only game in the zombie-slaughter business, and wondering whether Dead Island, Sunset Overdrive or the more serious Dying Light don't offer something richer. Some of us will be left wanting more and wondering if diving headlong into bloodthirsty slapstick farce was the best idea for the series.
